Who are the most powerful men in the aviation industry today?

Who would you call an Airline Mogul of our times-

the answers I have got so far are:

Gordon Bethune
Phil Condit
Stephen Wolf
Richard Branson
Michael O'Leary
Herb Kelleher

How about the guy who walked away from airport security in SFO after testing positive for explosives on his shoes. Tied up a major airport for hours with no penalty.

Just men?

Colleen Barret--SWA President and Chief Operating Officer
David Neeleman--Jetblue CEO

How dare you put Stephen Wolf in the same category. That man is nothing more than a corporate terrorist. He is in the same category as the Enron CEO Lay. The only difference between the two is the fact Wolf has not been caught yet.

choices

Richard Crandall -- American Airlines. Retired, Took American to Number One with A and B scale, frequent flier, and other inovative techniques.

Herb Kelleher, Southwest Airlines, Retired-- liked by management, employees, labor unions, and the public. Simple approach and stick with it.

Fred Smith, Federal Express, invented an indispensible service.

David Needleman, Morris Air and JetBlue, did it twice.

Gordon Bethune, Continental Airlines

Al Ueltschi, FlightSafety International

Richard Santuilli, Netjets,,, invented fractionals

"Richard Crandall -- American Airlines. Retired, Took American to Number One with A and B scale, frequent flier, and other inovative techniques. "

Umm...Right. Anyone else note a glaring error here?

Also, the creation of the B scale certainly would not qualify one for greatness.

You wanna add Ron Allen to your list?!?!

mispelling

Ok, I give up, I made a mispelling but Crandall was the best CEO of an airline in modern times. You may not think B scale was a great solution to a problem, but business people think so.
