Thrust reverser failure? Debris on the runway prior to the jet veering off into the hangar.
 
This airplane would have had attenuators as its a "straight" CJ2, but something went WAY wrong not involving the little flappy thingies on the back of the engines...
 
I talked with someone who knows people on the Santa Monica Airport Commission this morning. The number one theory is that the pilot was high, long and fast and tried to land when he should have aborted breaking off one of the main gears and then the plane veered off the runway and impacted the hangar. He said its speculatory, but is the number one theory presently.
