Just a heads up.....the FAA is about to have a massive turnover in their "flight check" pilot force and will be hiring at least 5 pilots in the next 6 - 9 months. I just got the call and will start in June.
Bases are: Oklahoma City, Atlanta, Sacramento, Battle Creek, Atlantic City and Anchorage.
You start out as a GS-13 while in ASIP upgrade training (Aerospace System Inspection Pilot). It takes about 12-18 months to earn your ASIP card. After earning your ASIP card, you are promoted to GS-14.
Next year looks promising as well with another 5-7 new hires expected.

I suspect a score of 100 will merely put you at the bottom of the pool, holding your breath.

Vets, handicapped, and other incentivized applicants will be at the top.
