Sounds like a baseless rumor. Do you have a source? Where'd you hear this?

at the recent Raymond James Growth Airline Conference, many airlines presented their plans and positions forecast for the future in the market, and much was spoken of the tremendous growth of the RJ segment(s).

The jetBlue speaker said that they are open to anything, and would investigate anything they thought would strengthen their position, but that they have not made any firm plans for RJs yet, neither their own nor those of any possible code share regional partners.

It sure is interesting how these rumors get started. Anytime our Corp. Real Estate people go to an airport to listen to their pitch for why we should be there, a rumor follows that we are going to start service to that airport. Whenever we don't answer a question with a definitive "NO," people think we are planning to do it. It's a pretty standard answer to say, "We are exploring all options." That doesn't mean we are REALLY planning to do it.

That said, I think you can be pretty sure we won't be buying any RJs anytime soon. Our mantra is controlled growth. We have a plan to about 131 A320s that will take several years to reach. Five years from now we may be buying A380s and flying to Europe (you heard it here first!!!), but who knows? Time will tell, but don't count on RJs anytime in the foreseeable future. They just don't fit our current growth plan.
