Anyone hear about a new company called Freedom Air?
The info i heard was that Mesa Airlines got another
operating certificate and is going to run RJs under the
name Freedom Air. It will be a non-union operation.
Wondering if anyone heard about hiring plans or
routes, etc.

suppose to commence operations on July 4th. Equipment will eventually be CRJ 700/900's. The buzz is non-union, but it is still a rumor...

Wow, that is surprising, there already exists a 121 operator out of Guam called "Freedom Air", they fly a Shorts, 3-30. Yes it is America and yes it is controlled by the FAA out of the Honolulu FSDO.

freedom air is the brainchild of Johnny Ornstein, CEO of MESA. It was created to find a place for the crj700-900 aircraft 9current scope language at AWA and USAirways limiting codeshare partners airplanes to 68 seats or less) and to create a nonunion airline as an alter ego to mesa. i think its a **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** deal for the pilots.
