It's easy and common.

They manage airplanes and offer the owners a way to place their airplane on a 135 certificate. Many owners don't want to charter often in order to keep the wear down on their asset. Owners may then choose to fly part 91 or 135.

The management company gets a management fee and the owner gets a tax break.

Good answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good answer, but at some point the company still has to have "paying charter customers"to make it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rolleyes:;);):cool:

they absolutely do not have to have charter. many owners want to create a tax loss. also, as wealthy owners, they could care less if it makes money. they have much bigger assets to withdraw money from . many business owners do not pay themselves a salary because it is taxable. therefore, they pay themselves in many other created ways.
