Union and management are working on it. We (FedEx) are getting the new special locking doors on all of the widebody fleet. Once that is completed then the company is going to apply to FAA to get our procedure approved for jumpseaters. Offline jumpseaters will not be allowed to ride in the cockpit (same as the pax airline restrictions), so the B-727 is going to be tough. The current restriction is because there is presently no way to "secure" the cockpit.
