Your opinion is valuable, please quick reply to this post on what YOU would pay for a coffee table with a see through glass top (44" diameter) made from the compressor section of an F4 Phantom (J79), IF your spouse would allow you to buy it. All of the compressor blades look new, clean and shiny and visible through the top glass. Would weight about 300 lbs but on wide casters to roll on carpet.

One meeeelion dollars. Definite man cave material.

It's easier to ask for forgiveness. Buy it!

Hell Yeah!!!

Wouldn't ask the admiral.

$500? Someone with a sentimental attachment to the "sled" would, no doubt, pay more.

Pictures?

The "Sled" moniker belongs to the SR-71, not the Phantom.

Edit- Wikipedia states that the Phantom did in fact have the nicknames "Lead Sled" and "Big Iron Sled" (among many others)... But my original assertion is still correct. "Sled" by itself belongs to the Blackbird.
