Hopefully the Republic TA vote will be challenged in court. The unfortunate part is that the IBT is pushing hard to pass it. Our negotiating Commitee and EXCO was thrown out by the IBT national and replaced by some company lapdogs. I am completely ashamed to even be associated with these jackals in any way, shape or form.

The situation sounds dreadfully tainted.

Parker and his American SJS Nazi's say NO 175's FOR YOU EAGLE!

Way to stand up Eagle folks!

Now comes the bad news from Doug the Drunk and the American SJS Nazis...NO 175's FOR YOU!

American Eagle to shrink after pilots reject labor pact
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/american-eagle-shrink-pilots-reject-163726709.html

Here's the excerpt from the link above that raises a serious question...

American Eagle Airlines will shrink its fleet and will lose the opportunity to fly larger regional jets that its parent American Airlines Group has ordered after its pilots rejected a concessionary labor contract, the subsidiary said on Friday.

The move means that other regional carriers that fly under the American Eagle brand, such as Republic Airways Holdings , could get more work from the world's largest airline.

American Airlines, which became the world's largest carrier when it merged with US Airways in December, had agreed to put 60 new Embraer 175 jets it ordered last year in service with American Eagle Airlines in exchange for the pilots approving the 10-year labor contract that had concessions. The airline had warned that should pilots reject the labor accord, the new aircraft would be placed with other regional airlines.

After the vote on Friday, American Eagle President Pedro Fabregas said the carrier, which plans to change its name to Envoy, would shrink its fleet and "will need to make appropriate changes" to bring down costs.

"American has informed us it will award the flying of the Embraer 175s to another regional carrier or several other carriers in the near future," Fabregas said in a letter to staff.

OK...so now American throws the carrot in Republic's Face with more 175's, will the Republic gang say NO and follow the Eagle group or cave in like PSA did for the SJS and new and bigger planes? For the love of God, please vote HELL NO Republic. If Republic votes no, then where will the 175's go? Mesa?

That's too funny. "we need to make appropriate changes" to bring down costs. Really?? Let me get this straight....... You're making money and you want your pilots to fly even bigger Jets (mainline category) that will bring in more money however you want those crews to do it for less pay? Really???
Name one company that would come to it's employee's and say listen we got this new machine that will double our revenue. It's a nice brand new machine....... But to operate it we need all the workers to take concessions! Blahahahahahahahahahaha

And really What's the difference between an American Airlines crew flying 270 pax from LAX to JFK and a Eagle crew that fly's a 4 leg day with the 175 and carrying about 300 pax for the day???? Same job, probably about same revenue.

This is great! Most Regional people know they'll have a job at mainline if they want it. But now they've said no to RJ 50 seats to fly a plane that can carry close to 100 folks 2,000 miles.

This is stuff books will be written about!!! Cheer to Eagle and XJ!!!

Of course they're going to shrink. Every regional will because hiring won't keep up with attrition. They're just trying to use this situation as leverage, saying it's really a mgmt decision rather than a result of a decade of mismanagement.

This should help give you guys more solidarity! Social Networks have been the information feed for everyone these days.

Social media(not FI or APC) is what swayed the vote at xjt. If it wasn't for a well-done Facebook page that brought out the truth of the TA, it would've passed.

Eagle=Comair....they would have shrunk it anyway...

Eagle=Comair....they would have shrunk it anyway...

The difference between Comair and Eagle is that Comair didn't do almost 90% of Delta Connection flying.

Comair was big in only maybe 2 or 3 cites. Cincy being it's biggest and a hub were Delta downsized.

Eagle going away will impact American in many cities compared to Comair and Delta.

While I agree Eagle will shrink I highly doubt it will be as close to easy as the Comair situation was. Just watch......
