Just wanted to know what their policy is right now. Looks like I'm going to be doing some off-line jumpseating.

thanks

Delta and United both ahve the same policies right now, they will accept as many offline jumpseaters as there are jumpseats in the aircraft, but you must be in uniform and on the reciprocal agreement list. You cannot occupy the cockpit jumpseat and must have a seat in the back. You will be the last priority for boarding, after all rev and non-rev passengers. Despite this I haven't had much trouble getting around. Good luck!

I haven't had a problem on either one, and I haven't been in uniform either. Just a coat & tie. I've been asked to show everything from my airline ID & pilot's certificate to even my driver's license.

I made it to San Diego from Las Vegas the day before Thanksgiving, but I got pretty lucky.

Hint: Call ahead to check loads and list yourself. Gracefully accept your fate of having your bags searched and yourself patted down.
