Here is the press release:

The airline, which filed for bankruptcy protection in September last year along with Delta, plans to impose cuts on the roughly 1,000 flight attendants beginning Nov. 15, reducing average pay by 7.5 percent to realize $7.9 million in savings.

Ok, my take on the math. 1000 F/A's making average of $25,000/ year (reasonable ??). That puts payroll at $25 million for F/A's. Now whack $7.9 million and that leaves $17.1 million to divide up. That drops the average earnings to $17,100/yr or only $1425/mo. That my friends is a 31.6% cut in pay. The friggen spin on crap.......

I think on average, the Comair FA's make $29,500, which makes it closer to 26%, but your point is excellent. They took an average PAY cut of 7.5%, but a COMPENSATION cut of 26%.

Pay is a very small part of the concessions package. Benefits also make up a part, but work rules were where the large changes came to play.
