Hi All, I am in the process of writing an article on Clay Lacys C-97, I am having a hard time finding any info on the progress of the conversion. HELP PLEASE.

Have you tried to call him?

Check out the "One Six Right" movie. It has a segment on the Super Guppy program out of VNY.

Thanks Quimby, I tried to call him no luck, I am sure he is very busy. I will look at 16R. Thanks again.

If your talking about the Super Guppy then it was not Clay Lacy's airplane. It was Jack Conroy's airplane.

Cheers,
Scott

He he! the magic "Family Bible!" that makes you 2 years younger! Great project, the 377, but miserable scab. Be careful who you ask....BUT my understanding is that the Hawkins and Powers auction made C97 stuff cheap. Lacy bought tonnage and the goal is to take a stock KC97 and reconfigure it to B377 specs....a huge job...all being done at Greybull at the old H7P facility.
