I've done it. No problems if you can make runway length.

Brown is also easy. Customs seems alot more casual at Brown than at Calexico.

I have used Calexico a lot, and they have been great. Usually just hand them your paperwork through the window and you are good to go. First time through I said "is that it" and the officer replied " unless you want a strip search".

I was never offered a strip search.

He must have liked you.

Calexico, hmmm.

1) Awesome Customs service and NO line.

2) VFR only.

3) Runway bumpy enough that pax think you have a flat.

4) Wind? Yeah, they got wind and it's always blowin' hard right across the runway.

I use Calexico almost exclusively. However, Yuma seems to be a fantastic place to clear. Loooong runways, Customs officers easier than Stifler's mom and dirt cheap Jet-A. If you're ending up in the LA area, it's only about 5 minutes extra flying and well worth the extra time as far as I can tell. Good luck.
