News report said FedEx Caravan pilot reported engine trouble shortly after takeoff. Went down in a field. From the pictures, looks like he made a good landing, but ran out of room and hit a stand of trees.

Eternal rest to a fellow aviator.
 
He was a good guy. He was the first Captain that I flew with at Central Air. He taught me a lot. There is not a time when I fly into Little Rock that I don't think of him. He would always say "look for the blue light"!
