This is not a modified pairing. I truly hope that this is a carryover of "Willie Stupidity". I thought rooms were still scarce in BTR. No wonder we need to take concessions. We obviously need to subsidize the incompetence.

well, I guess that did not come out very good. Point is, this trip has you Deadhead from ATL to BTR on day 2. After 17 hours in BTR, you DH back to ATL to sit for 3 hours. Then you resume your trip.

Isn't BTR a Mx base? It's probably so you can be a test fly biach.

That's terrific! Anybody have JA's email address? That's the kind of thing he probably ought to see. It will be even better if rev pax get bumped for this! Classic! I'd say Willie is back!

Well, two things with that. One, this is a CR7 crew DH'ing on a CRJ. Two, and most importantly, they would be contacting you during your rest to do a test flight. I don't know what you do, but I am not answering the friggen phone, especially a cell phone, from scheduling while at rest on a trip.

Why not just keep you in ATL?

Then they would have to release him with 11 hours off. Or better yet, break it up into two different trips.

Seriously, it sounds like they are basically making them sit reserve in BTR. This may be a contract violation. I'd call the union.

No, they're not making you sit reserve in BTR. Per the contract and various settlement agreements, you can be contacted during your trip, and the hour that your rest starts and finishes.

They can't call you in the middle of rest, even if it is 17 hours long. If they have something else for you to do, they can reassign you just like they would on any other trip. But they have to notify you within the framework that I laid out above.

Did they switch it up so that only IP's can do test flights these days? Also, have the people assigned this abomination gone to see a CP about it? I mean come on, this just seems silly.
