    do they really fire captains who call for evacuation when the cabin crew reports smoke in the cabin?
    One of the most useless things in aviation is a 25yr old flight attendent on top of a 50yr old Captain...but I find it quite useful I must say...

    They just did. Same day our VP of Flt Ops declares a fuel emergency in FAR.
