Corporate Jobs at KLUK (Lunken Field)

It's Cin-Air but I don't know anything about them except that they have Astra's and a Citation V. BR

    X-ing restrictions

If you need to do over 3000 fpm on a 3 degree descent, that implies you're doing over 600 kts gs. I'm guessing the math is screwed up somewhere. At my company, we use: alt to lose / 3 = miles req. for descent. rate of descent = ground speed * 5 (or 1/2 the gs and add a zero) For example...

    DA50 vs. CE750

I have no way of verifying the numbers are accurate, but here's a pretty comprehensive source for the financials on many of the current jets out there: http://www.omnijet.com/database/ BR

    How much longer for FLYI?

The reduction in speed is the result of a new program that started a week or two ago on the CRJ. Called the Basic Cost Index, we reduce our speed in climb, cruise and descent according to the winds aloft and our altitude. For example, at FL280 any tailwind means we will fly at 250 IAS. A headwind...

    Jump seating on Independence Air

Sorry, but we can't take 135 guys at this time. I only thing I can say is that you may want to check out our fares at flyi.com. Since PBI is a new city for us, I'm sure that we'll have some pretty good fares for the time being. Good luck.

    ATCers - Vectors Q?

I would say 21 miles. With the headwind, the 172 is doing 1 mile/min and the 73 is doing 3 miles/min. In the six minutes it takes the the 172 to land the 73 has covered 18 miles. Therefore to be spaced 3 miles at touchdown, the 73 has to be 21 miles in trail. What do I win Johnny?

    Cox Communications

Go to this link and then search by name for "Cox Communications". Looks like they have a Hawker and KA200 in ATL. http://162.58.35.241/acdatabase/acmain.htm Good luck. I'm looking all over too. BR

    Need help from Jetblue pilots

Can someone help me locate an old ACA friend of mine who is now a pilot with you guys? If it's not too much trouble, will you send me a PM and I'lll give you his name? (This is so I can add his name to my application.) Thanks so much, BR

    Interview question

TIS, I think you bring up some valid points. I think the system we have in place is good in the sense that it avoids unnecessary cancellations and delays for the casual smartass remark by a passenger. For example, a guy who sits down next to his buddy on the plane and says "I sure hope the...

    Interview question

I think my first response to the question would be that I would follow the guidance of my airline's operations manual. At ACA/FlyI we have a card that is kept in the cockpit that is given to the accuser in such an event. It basically spells out to them how serious of an accusation this is and...

Try www.avsoft.net . I bought the cockpit posters from them and would recommend them. I don't know if they have additional study guides or not. At ACA, Avsoft has made a button book for us, but I don't know if it is available to anyone outside the company or not.

Dangerous Assumptions... Just a word of caution for all those thinking that this TA will guarantee us continued profitablity and expansion. This TA guarantees us one thing and one thing only. We will make less than we would have without the TA. Sure UAL has to pick us to affirm the TA but so...

    DO328J vs BAE41

    >>Where the TV's black or did they have the "big red X"?<< My understanding is that the DU's didn't all go at once. A couple of them would go black, come back, a few others would go, come back etc. I don't know if they had red X's or not. They also had smoke in the cockpit just to keep things a...
