SkyWest has a bucket system. Seniority kind of goes out the window because if there is a 2 day trip and the only guy in the 2 day bucket is a lifer he will do the trip even if there are 10 junior guys in the 3 day bucket.
Male or female if the FO refuses a legitimately assigned task it's called insubordination and in my mind grounds for being removed from the trip. Let the CP deal with him or her. My concern is is they refuse that simple duty what else will they fail to perform?
Noone needs that kind of crap to...
If you're talking about DB he wasn't exactly known for uniform compliance when it came to wearing the hat. Kinda hard to imagine the guy as a "hat nazi."
I think you're full of sh.t but that's just me.
Be a professional.
Look after yourself and your crew.
You have no business being in command of an aircraft if you can't handle that.
Safety first. You need to take a break and eat. Go sit down and have a meal.
You guys are scaring me. Noone should have to tell you that if you're hungry to go...
It's not just Jerry merging the list you have to worry about. What happens if/when ASA pilots go to the courts and try to force an integration? Then what? Think your SAPA reps will negotiate a good integration for you? BWAAHAHAHAHAHA.
SAPA will do what SGU tells them to do and the newbee pilots...
An integration will happen. It's just a matter time. Might be a year. Could be 5 years. Don't expect anything to happen until after the union drive is over.
Next time the thought of giving up that full pension occurs to you I suggest the following action.
Step 1. Locate section of wall approx 24"x24"
Step 2. Bang your head against that section of wall
Step 3. Repeat as necessary
More like 45K for those seatlocked FO's.
I can understand taking the job if you didn't have one but I've heard that several of those guys were captains at Sky West.
ROTFLMAO
Now those former RJ captains who were making halfway decent money at a regional are seatlocked as FO's in the Airbus making RJ FO pay, and that's if the company even gets off the ground. They're only getting paid something like 2500 a month right now. Those guys are hating life and...
Does Southwest hire whiners?
Lots of regional guys at Southwest and maybe some on the hiring board. Don't forget that they like to see you've been flying.
Sorry you feel that regional stuff is so far beneath you.
BTW they seem to be calling guys around the 1700 hour mark. Not sure what they're...
If NewWoman was around in the 1990's instead of dreaming about getting his PPL he'd know that SkyWest pilots raised the bar a few times without bankrupting the company. He's a dream employee for SGU. He'd give every one of them a blow job if he could.
When he's a relatively senior captain...
Hey POO4brains,
SkyWest pilots weren't asked for concessions. SGU didn't have to ask. They just imposed them. Ready reserve and PBS are examples of management imposed concessions. 50-99 seat pay for a couple of years past expiration of the TA is more BS.
Don't you have something to do in dispatch?
Yo dipsh1t! Newbee FO's often get stuck in FAT. Most domiciles have 35-40 buck a night hotels with the crew rate. If they're trying to get another base it doesn't make too much sense to move to FAT for however long it takes them to get a transfer.
Don't look for any sympathy if your domicile...
