Yeah I got a call from Greg this afternoon. Same as jacksjj: wanted updated times, et cetra. He said "they " hadn't told him about a class date but it was a good indicator they were getting ready to set one. He also said a few people had taken jobs elsewhere, one had quit flying altogather, etc...
TurboS7,
Many thanks. Didn't think I would make someone mad by asking a few questions. Guess I wasn't born with all of this aviation knowledge already in my head as appearantly 80for80 was. Wonder why he didn't answer the questions? And I concur, the CA should always be a mentor and leader and...
Have an upcoming interview and can't recall or find the answers to a couple of questions. Maybe I never knew the answer! Anyway, here they are:
1. When does second segment climb begin?
2. What is danger associated w/wind shear and increasing headwind?
3. 121-What percent of useable runway and...
Is there going to be a new hire class at ASA somethime this year? After 3 months I'm not sure how much longer I can dog paddle in the pool! Any info or thoughts on applying else where?
Thanks in advance.
This is beginning to sound like flame bait, but I can't resist. What kind of hosed up financing do you have? 90k is more than me and my wife have EVER made. We have never made more than @ 40k except when we were both activated for the war, and then we came closer. Who would buy a new car or...
Similiar to ReddogC130's. If qualified for ASA,PNCL and XJT, which one and why. Or is there another one out there I missed(Skywest?)?
As usual, thanx to all for your 2c's.
Seen the mins on All ATP's website. How official it is anybodys guess, but since they have a hiring aggreement with ATP you'd think it fairly reliable. Seems to make sense since ASA dropped their mins to 600/200 a short while back. Perhaps they're trying to keep ASA from getting all of us low...
Noticed yesterday that XJT has lowered their minimums to 500/100. Anyone have any info on that or how long it takes for a phone call after updating your resume?
You can buy the replacement strap at luggageworks.com for about $12.00. Or you could go to wally world and buy a 1" utility strap for $1.78, 2 screws and your in bussiness. Either way, you have to drill new holes in the side frame. As for the suitcase, I have a PNT but ut ways 16lbs empty. I...
Thanks a bunch for the info. Which flight bag besides Scott's works/fits best? I've already got a Purdy Neat 22"Stealth NG or whatever they're calling these days. The only drawback is it's empty weight-260 oz's. advertised(16.25lbs). The Costco looks a lot like one at Sam's. How about the Travel...
Any tips or thoughts on how to get into "Bush Flying"? Any specific companies to look up or other web sites to check out. Preferably warmer climes than Alaska or Canada, but one can't be too choosey! Many thanks to all.
RJD
PS Guess that could mean the little yellow planes!! Couldn't resist:)
Don't know what else to call it. Bush, Med Evac, Contract, UN, Dept of State, DoD et cetra. How do you get into this type of flying? If you know how, please send an email to me. Thanks in advance!!
