    Time on ILS approach

In an airline enviroment it is pretty much usless to time an ils since usally slowing down and not holding a constant airspeed and the times are based on a constant groundspeed. If you loose you gs on an ils just go-around re-brief for the loc so you don't miss a step down fix or something and...

Is any other major still furloughing?

It looks like Delta is putting another 31 on the street July 1 for a total of 805. Is any other major ie. AA UAL CAL U ect still putting pilots on the street. If not could you tell how many are out at your airline and when the last ones went on the street. As far as I can tell Delta is the...

    SF340 driving

I think that way of starting is pretty standard. that was the way Eagle wanted us to start the slaab. The main reason was that the saab is bad about hot starting and they would do it this way to bring down the itt before adding the gas. If you are slow in getting the ignition on after taking...

Coolest place anyone has flown into?

My vote is for Dominica. The only bad thing is that I only got to do it once. And as far as a tight visual approach I think the bridge visual into San Jaun was a little tighter but the 15r circle to 4L was a little more interesting due to the fact that you were looking into the office...

Leo's thoughs on one list at Delta

. He said he would not bring ASA and Com Air into the "Delta Family" because we need the cost advantage to make them high yield. This came off the DALPA message board from a captain who attended an "In Command" class a couple days ago.

Delta has not started recalling yet. We still have another 73 being furloughed Arp 1 for a total of 638. The good news is that there have been no more fourlough anouncments yet. Hopfully we get some great news in Apr with the arbitration.

The RJDC is a cancer on the industry

I love all these post about senior guys at the regional with there so called great pay and quailty of life and not wanting to go back to reserve. 1. reserve- if you commute weather at a major or regional it sucks but if you live at you base at some majors such as Delta it can be good with...
