I also knew Ron for quite some time.
Rest in Peace Ron. I was looking forward to meeting up with him after this season during his regular road trip through CO and NM...

The ATR and my Sennheisers (HMEC-25) are totally in agreement--quiet and light. They're even not too bad if the batteries run out or I forget to turn them on. It's SUPER quiet when we're in stealth mode, and only 6 oz.
The only problem I've had with the ATR and them is that one a few...
No problem.
I've gotten every program I wanted to run on Linux. It's not that hard to talk Windows based programs into running on my Linux machine. And if not, you can still have a copy of Windows on your PC, when it boots up it simply asks you which one you would like to use.
Either way...
He's got it all right, except for the photo editing part. Specifically, use a free editor instead. Paint.net is awesome (for a Windows machine).
Other than that, the tricky part is editing it down to 150x150 (and sometimes the board has limited you to 75x75).

I'll ask a few questions...
Why are you using a MicroSoft product? I've removed the last vestiges of MS from my PC and won't look back. Linux (well, Xandros) rules.
Does this happen at flightinfo.com or other websites as well?
If you have picture files saved to your hard drive, can you view...
Sir:
I wish I had access to an airplane to help you. I'd offer my time as an A&P and pilot if I could.
You're a good man for trying to help. I can't beleive that private owners won't help out here.

I'm a big fan of my Sennheiser 25's. They're MUCH lighter than the Bose, and very quiet to boot. The Bose is probably a bit quieter, but frankly, the Sennheiser makes the ATR the quietest thing I've ever been in.
The Stereo 25s I've got were also $350 cheaper than the Bose, and the sound...
" ATRCAPT says you are a goodfella and know of Mr. Cash so I'll buy you a beer someday."
Not if I get you one first my man!
My real hope is that they might give me the abuse while I don't mind it, and ease up on you guys (although I realize our positions aren't interchangeable). Besides, I...
The price of corn or veg oil at Sam's is hardly indicitave of the wholesale price of delivered SVO.
Currently, many eateries are paying $0.15 a gallon to have the WVO disposed of. And they get rid of lots of it. (at least, that's my understanding, I'm certaintly no expert on restraunting)...
WVO is a bit more complicated, because you've got to set up the filters and heaters and all...
But converting WVO (or SVO, or whatever) into BioDiesel gives you plain old BioDiesel, which requires no modifications, and can be mixed in any ratio with dinodiesel.
FurloughedAgain: that's what...
I know some guys using the FFA setup--VERY easy. Very cheap.
The hard part is getting a source for WVO. Some guys have struck deals with restraunts to dispose of their oil, but are simply swamped with the amount of WVO they end up with.
The B100 itself is really, really sweet stuff...
Oh, you'se guys misunderstand me and the not working thing.
I want SEA so that I can be overworked for a spell. Once I upgrade and am hauling in the mediochre bucks, then I'll go back to not working so much. Trust me, I'm a pro at not working. :) I take not working to a whole new level...
The outfit in the blue hangar did indeed close up shop. F.S. Air is no more, and hadn't operated the Lears for quite some time.
They were operating a Citation on a medevac (along with a few planes carrying UPS/FedEx freight/adhoc charters), and that was absorbed by Security Aviation. It is my...
"Otherwise I would have gone to Great Mistakes"
But those guys work more! I prefer not to work, if given the choice.
Good luck. I'm still new here, but I'm happier than Dubya clearing brush!

"What are the chances of getting SEA bases as a 121 F/O? I didn't even know that you had a base in SEA and that would be pretty good job if I didn't have to move or commute.."
It'll be pretty tough to get "SEA bases." We only have one! Haha, I kill myself.
Depends. A few months ago it was...
Don't stress so much my man. There easily may be some places that you couldn't get a job, having obtained such a CFI.... But those would all be ruled by wanna be dork pilots who have to make themselves feel better by ridiculing others.
It has far more to do with the CFI, than the place that...
Longhorn BBQ near the GEG airport is pretty good. Or so my meat-eating friends tell me. But the baked potatoes and beer are great there...
I'm willin' to bet I'll eat there at least once this week. But I agree, Cour d'Alene is more fun, especially with the construction in downtown Spokane.
Dan
Man, you're looking too "big picture" there. I heard a rumor that I *might* fly something or other on Tuesday. I sure hope it's something I recognize :)
Does Wiggins have a 121 certificate for the 99s and Twotter? Have they got a 121 certificate in the works? Is the 121 certificate conjurer...
