    All ASA pilots...please read!

look at your paycheck now - and look at your paycheck there in year 2. If the number is bigger it is not the worst paying. . .

    And so it begins...

Comparing baggage handlers with other groups especially crews is absurd

    ASA MEC update.

Reading that update shows everything wrong with this process. Whoever wrote it must be incredibly impressed with the many committee structures and fancy protocol agreements. What a complete joke - nothing will ever get done this way - total and complete waste of time. I can just see all the...

United pilot removed from cockpit by force?

He was probably trying to figure out if it was hat on or hat off trip

Mesa's Ornstein pi$$ed at Congress? Watch out...

    I don't care!!!!

Any carrier from Asia followed by Emirates and Ethiad Any US carrier tends to have the body shape of Grimace from McDonalds or the Kool-aid-man

Before the fares are displayed there should be a pop up box with the taxes

    Safety v Money

You are wrong about the least common denominator - the key to ensuring quality training is to put into place a rigorous check ride process that weeds out any unqualified candidates. Look at Medical Board Exams, CPA Exams and Bar Exams - none of these are based on passing the least qualified...

    Safety v Money

That article is crap - requiring quantity of hours over quality of training is doing everyone a disservice. Both I am not aware of a single 121 accident in which the pilots had less than 1500 hours. I can think of several where better training could have averted the loss of lives - Colgan -...

Quarterly numbers for Skywest: Not Good

So what besides weather are driving the drain on cash? Xjet? Engine Overhaul Expenses? Lease Return Costs? Other? Just curious what is the primary driver

Pilot unions band together to fight contract concessions at regional airlines

Yawn - letter not worth the paper it's written on.

Want health insurance ? Not at Mesa

There are lots of companies that only make insurance available to the employee - particularly now that Obamacare has saved everyone. Expect to see this become the norm - Company offers insurance to the employee only and spouse and kids buy on the individual market. I would do the same if I was...

Mesa = No Quality of life

I asked a couple buddies at Mesa how thier lines are - aside from standard complaints due solely to 117 regs, everyone I spoke with was generally happy. Nothing is ever perfect at any airline but with PBS, they all said it was better than when lines were constructed manually.

    Great Mistakes latest idea!

Single pilot for ferry flights - not revenue pax

    Great Mistakes latest idea!

This is a great idea. I flew the 1900 single pilot prior to the 135/121 switch. Loved flying it alone.

There is no pilot shortage sorry. Just greedy airlines.

except the very simple solution is to get rid of age 65 retirement

    Mesa

If you are short sighted enough to base your decision on where you want to be on the first and second year FO pay, you have alot to learn. You might as well pick the company that has the best uniforms. There is only one relevant consideration at a regional carrier = how quickly will you...
