Hey Folks, I could use some help here:
Could anybody from the following carriers please tell me the length of initial, new-hire CRM and also how much time is devoted for recurrent CRM. (Also, how often does that occur?)
Send me a PM if you don't want to post it, just doing some research...
Hey guys,
I'm trying to track down a bro by the name of Jasper. (Sorry, can't remember his first name.) Flew H-60's in Hawaii for a while. I served with him in the USAF Honor Guard.
Any leads??
Does anybody have the PDF CAL interview documents converted to Word files? If so, would you be willing to share?
Just trying to keep things neat, and I don't have a typewriter.
Thanks!
Although I has stopped posting here, I thought I would mention that Jason Barton was just killed in a PC-12 accident.
Captain Barton flew KC-135 with the AFRES and was an occasional poster on this board.
Rest in peace Jason...
I thought it might be a useful thread to discuss personal techniques that we all use to make flying easier/safer. Rules of thumb count too. I could list a bunch, but here are a couple to get us started:
Leaving your hand on the handle after selecting gear down until you get a safe indication...
I know there are two sides to every sory, but this one doesn't look good for the management over there at B6.

C&P'd this from TORO over at baseops, thought some of you ex-fighter guys might enjoy his work:
You've probably seen the original 'Chuck Norris' list - well here are some new ones straight from the source document for all you Tactics guys.

Hey,
I used to fly with Erik at a previous employer, and have lost his phone number. He was living in San Antonio. Anybody who knows Erik please drop me a PM.
Thanks!
Hahaha
Seriously though, one session of free, incredibly amateur career counseling for anybody just starting out looking for leads in the Houston area. Particularly if you're interested in the 135 scene. Drop me a PM.
(Worth what you paid for it!)
Hey Folks,
I was wondering if anyone here knows what the rules are on a FAA certificated airman performing SIC duties on a Mexican registered jet being flown in Mexico? (Not for hire)
I have an opportunity to fly an airplane I thought I never would, anybody know a definitive answer?

Coming back to Houston from Monterey this morning around 1000am. I was monitoring guard, and got to listen to the Air Force and Gray Approach trying in vain to reach some hapless bozo squawking 1200 and penetrating the prohibited area at Crawford.
I can't believe some of the folks flying...
This was several years ago on NPR. It doesn't contain a whole lot, but for those of you that enjoyed North Star over my Shoulder, it sure is nice to hear him speak. What a neat guy.

I was in Newark a couple of times over the weekend. Noticed a DC-10-30 with a homade tent around the aft, lower portion of the fuselage, along with quite a bit of vehicles and AGE.
Just curious what happened. She didn't end up on her tail did she? (I know it's happened before.)
Anybody looking for a laugh or to get P.O.'d, look no further than this thread on the regional board. You've got to read down about half a page when the original poster starts defending his lack of multiengine flight time by citing his military experience "Dropping bombs on baghdad in my F16."...
O.K. folks,
I'm junior this year, and thus will be starting a 4-day on the 24th. If anybody is going to be in STL on the evening of the 24th, or in ATL on the evening of the 25th, drop me a line! A couple of us could get together, socialize and tell FLIGHTINFO stories.
Send me a PM if this...
I've really enjoyed my career so far, and been fortunate enough to have been exposed to a variety of international/over-water operations. I want to give something to people in terms of being to help improve people's quality of life through use of my aviation skills.
That having been said, I am...
Hey Folks,
There was a post a few weeks ago containing various speculation concerning which individual has the most T-38 flight time. I've got the answer from an un-impeachable source, and we were all wrong. The answer?
John Young, with over 9,000 hours of Aircraft Commander time in that...
I know somebody already posted a "farewell" to Christopher Reeve earlier this week, but I'm suprised nobody here knew or mentioned the most important part: Chris was one of us.
Reeve was a Private Pilot, Single and Multi-Engine land, Instrument Airplane and Glider Aero Tow. Prior to his...
