Skywest pilot tool rides a belt loader

I disagree. I would love to help someone get to a birth, wedding, etc on time by tossing bags, but the fact remains if I blow my back tossing bags the company will not support my effort with an OJI approval. There are plenty of other ways to help our passengers reach their final destinations...

So ExpressJet now has swap/IROP EVERY DAY??

Peaking out the window here in ATL it looked like a tornado was about to touch down any minute. I say the IROP was justified this time around. Ground stop in ATL til 10pm Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2

Republic Airways Holdings Inc. (RJET), SkyWest, Inc. (SKYW): A New Business Strategy

You do realize that ExpressJet is currently a breakeven operation right? Excluding merger costs the company is profitable, but not by much. Q4 2012 XJT reported a profit, but not enough margin to get us profit sharing. Q1 was an anomaly due to weather. Jerry didn't buy XJT and merge then with...

Republic Airways Holdings Inc. (RJET), SkyWest, Inc. (SKYW): A New Business Strategy

Fully integrating each labor group under one contract. Earnings call and one of Brad's updates mentioned the expectation of XJT being profitable in 2014. I don't doubt it at all. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2

Republic Airways Holdings Inc. (RJET), SkyWest, Inc. (SKYW): A New Business Strategy

Expressjet is breakeven right now. Only 50% of merger synergies met so far. Profitability projected to return in 2014. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2

    United buys 40 EMB175s

You do know Steve created/founded ILFC? In fact, Steve basically invented the aircraft leasing business. What's he stealing? Trade secrets that he created? This lawsuit reeks of desperation. Reminds me of when Arthur Blank was a VP at Daylin corporation and the higher ups didn't like his ideas...

    "Emirates to reshape American Aviation"

A US legacy carrier will never allow a 28-33 year old to enjoy the pay and lifestyle of a 777-300ER Captain But I also see your point. I imagine it's difficult for a Emirates pilot to have a side business with 10-15 days off. Much easier for a US Legacy pilot. Sent from my HTC One using...

New hires dipping out of CRJ-XJT

That's because you're a leisure flyer that's looking for the lowest cost ticket. Don't worry, I'm the same way. When renting a car, I walk right past Hertz over to Dollar. We are not the target of the legacies. They target frequent business travelers with corporate expense accounts that take...

Emirates could order up to 275 777-X aircraft for replacement & expansion! Article

Without a doubt Emirates has a high level of safety. It's a very well run business. But they are not on a level playing field as the US Airlines. The US Airlines are running in sand with a monkey(the government) on their back, while Emirates is running on an Olympic track in spandex. Luckily...

Emirates could order up to 275 777-X aircraft for replacement & expansion! Article

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emirates_business_model The so-called "Emirates business model" lies at the heart of the airline's commercial success.[1] Its main ingredients are a lean workforce comparable to a low-cost carrier and a flat organisational structure that allows the airline to...

Emirates could order up to 275 777-X aircraft for replacement & expansion! Article

The success of Emirates has to do with melting pot of factors, mainly location, very low labor costs, and a government that is very supportive of aviation. The location of Dubai allows Emirates to connect passengers to any destination in the world with just one stop in Dubai. Dubai's...

The JCBA Scope Story – by KC Mueller, UALMEC Domestic Code Share Chairman, Scope SME Delta Scope or a Scope Choke? Late in the summer of 2012 it became clear the United Pilots were going to have to emulate “Delta Scope” in the JCBA. (223 76-seat jets, 102 70-seat jets [325 big 223+102] and 125...

    SkyWest, Inc. announces E175 orders

There is nothing to doom & gloom about for us at Expressjet. Attrition is through the roof, at least on the lxjt side, and classes are not remotely close to full. UAL cannot add all 70 RJs on order until a small narrow body aircraft is placed at mainline. They are hiring like crazy now, it...
