NYC box...never leaving until they rip it from my cold dead hands. Or until I need to pay for college and need to upgrade to do so in HKG. What's more important, my kids education or my marriage eventually? Bc one of them has to give eventually if I do a career here.

Days off per month at ATLAS

That's because people with a lot if experience typically are very set in their ways and more resistant to change and learning new things. 4000-6000 hours is a relatively experienced person but still also a relatively clean slate(ie moldable).....15000 hrs will be tougher.....I've witnessed this...

Want to fly an A380? Emirates CEO Wants 130 A380s

    JFK/LGA base living?

I live on LI and it is super expensive, but you can get some reasonable priced places on the east end/north fork that are 'relatively rural'. Taxes would be in the 5-7k range for a 400-500k place. Check out pillow. I live very close to JFK, pay a ton in taxes, but live in an excellent school...

The 747-8 also has AC plug outlets as well on the outer wall near the pilots outside arm.

    More attractive to recruiters?

I would continue in the left seat, but instead of considering SIC at a regional, I would look to the right seat in a larger transport aircraft like at Southern, Kalitta, Ryan, Atlas, etc. I think some time in a large aircraft with your current times would make you very competitive when the...

Does attending a job fair increase your chances of getting hired?

Anyone care to venture a guess on how many people attend any given job fair? 100? 1000? And do you just show up and get in line, or are there presentations? Etc?

Any 76-seater FO's getting called from Emirates?

Whats more likely is that they will say they are considering it to lure people and then never do it. Emirates is a company that likes to control things and when people are based it is difficult to do that. Not only that, but just look at the fiasco Cathay is going through because of their basings.

    Delta Pilot Contract Comparison link

The problem I see here is that on an hourly rate basis, DAL almost leads the pack on almost every airframe larger than 737 and smaller. I wouldn't be surprised if narrowbody comes up, but where is the leverage for widebody pay??? I know the answer. It is is the GUARANTEE! Stop using hourly...
