I am sure someone here will have no problem correcting me if I am wrong, but last I heard the Telex 750's are not TSO'd. Does that mean that we cannot use them going forward? If so, I'll add the earbuds to my QC2/UFM, I only carry the Telex as a spare anyway since I got the QC2/UFM.
Only thing I noticed was that on several altitude assignments she only read back"3407" like they were busy handling something. I think the first was maybe on the letdown to 6000'. Or that could just be the end of a long day. I agree that the approach clearance readback all sounded fine.
Godspeed...
Saw today where CX suspended trading of their stock pending a public announcement concerning something that could affect share price. Any word on what the announcement may be? The press release is on the CX website. Is this common practice on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange? Maybe its just routine.
First I would like to say to all CMR guys/gals that ASA does support your fight. We will be there to back you walking the line or to get you home if need be. My only concern (that I hope your SPC is looking into) is can the company/mgmt shut off access to employee records/servers from a CASS...
Just a clarification regarding the "core-lock
" issue. There is a GE white paper available on line in the NTSB exhibits that goes into the details of core-lock and what is done to prevent it. In a nutshell it is a longitudinal expansion of the engine core. The engine testing protocol not only...
I stand corrected. My point was that the statement alleged that the people referenced had done something wrong and possibly illegal. I think that before you make that type of statement you should have your facts correct.
I can confirm that the website was definitely designed, programed, and hosted by a private individual. It was in no way funded in whole or in part by any ALPA resources. If you do not have your facts please keep your OPINIONS or CONJECTURE to yourself!!
Agree 100% illegal. Ask THe folks at Big D what happened when they quit picking up open time. ALPA had nothing to do with it. Big D went to court and got an injuction against the pilot group to force them to pick up open time. (yes, I know it sounds ridiculous to be forced to do something that...
ASA's chief pilots and secretaries told me I'd be an idiot to stay here (at ASA)...
Please tell me specifically who said this you can PM me if you don't want to post it. Otherwise, I call BS. I know most of the CP's and can't think of one (even behind closed doors) that would say that.
Just curious when the last time anyone (those that are so critical of this MEC) on this thread attended a LEC/MEC meeting. Perhaps if you spent less time whining here and volunteering instead then your criticism would have some basis. As it stands you do nothing but create division in this pilot...
I sure hope that the other three candidates on this slate of four were not good candidates because their association with the first candidate will most assuredly guarantee their failure.
Last I read they were at 137kts when they exited the runway. Flaps 20 t/o on the 50,000# card they should have been real close to flying. I definitely wouldn't say there was no way that they could have made it.
