I never wanted to fly past 60, but I'm going to have to, to make up the difference in my 401k caused by the current gummers. Maybe if the current gummers ever retire, and I get to upgrade, I can show my FO's pictures of all my Corvettes, just like they like to show us future gummers now... -

Not sure I'd agree the price was right when we bought AT, especially considering we're giving away 2/3 of their airplanes. But I think you and Red are right, something else is coming. I just hope it's something like airframes or delivery slots from AA instead of an entire airline. -

Other important stuff: The bag storage area under the jumpseat in the 700's has a flat floor, so you can just lay your bag flat and roll it in. The classics have a screw sticking up, so you need to lift the forward(towards the nose) edge of the bag to get it past the screw. Also the classics... -

Let's not forget the married retirement plan F/A's, the commited partner health insurance and the cartels/computerized insta-bid tournament players flying 85hrs but getting paid 200+ TFP every month. -

Our airline doesn't award Premium flying until they've flown all the reserves. Or are you actually suggesting that we adopt a legacy style staffing formula, and pay guys to sit around and fly 20 or 30 hours a month? -

If you're around 50% in your seat you can easily pick up POT in most bases. If you can hold a Tuesday-Wed-Th line and wait for the weekend POT flood, it's nearly impossible to be under 120 or 130 a month. I looked back and so far I've only had 2 months under 120 this year, and I'm not all that... -

A lot will depend on how many are hired behind you, and what the Trannies wind up bidding. (Seems like most of them will bid East coast bases though) It took me 10 months to hold DAL, but that was back when we were hiring a lot. What I did was bid the bases with the fewest commuters, thus best... -

Most of our FO's below the mid 80,000 level vote no. Mid seniority FO's evenly split, Senior FO's/Lance's 70/30 in favor of. 70% of Capt's vote yes. SL10 passes by a comfortable margin. -
