    Honeywell GDC vs. Jetplan

We are 91/135 aircraft management. We don't outsource any of our international trip planning as we do it all in house. UV has screwed up more trips than I can count. How hard is to just email the handler at the destination airport? Not that hard. We are currently using ARINC and GDC. I...

Cape Air orders 1 Tecnam 2012

I have about 270 hours in the new Tecnam P2006T and it is an awesome aircraft. 145KIAS all day long at an average of 5gph per side. I flew it non-stop from DTO-CEW in 4.7. Tecnam does it right and the airplanes are built with the pilots in mind. Very comfortable aircraft to be in for long rides.

The 135 operator I work for has implemented the rule into company policy as of Jan 1, 2011. All crew members that do not have an assigned trip on the following day go into a standard rest from 2100 - 0700. Crews with assigned trips are assigned a 10 hour rest period ending 60 - 120 minutes prior...

Brokers-Scum of the Earth or necessary evil?

The 135 Operators need to push the Feds to require brokers to have some sort of certification. The industry needs to weed out the bottom feeders that only want to pay light jet one way pricing for a Global 5000 round trip to Europe. The operator I work for has stopped quoting the bottom...

ATP School Program? What are regionals/ Majors looking for?

It has been my experience that the Fast track is not the best way to go right now. I recommend that you take your time and learn how to fly instead of being force-fed aviation and how to fly a Seminole in 90 days. The airlines aren't hiring anybody with low time and even ATP's LOA's with the...
