    Age limitation for 91K

Those pilots and the pretty boys with gay tendencies that don't want to ruffle their smooth skin or break a nail. Those guys are just as bad. Mr. I.

    XOJET Lets 23 pilots go.

I think you make some good points but your syntax is so poor, I would guess you were either drinking at the time of ths post or it is a sad reflection of the management skills I've seen across the aviation industry in general. Happy Holidays! Mr. I.

    XOJET Lets 23 pilots go.

Terminated huh? They may have recall rights but if they were terminated, that is a lot different from a layoff. This probably has pretty strong potential for a class action lawsuit unless the company offered up severance packages with releases attached to those packages. Hope all goes well in...

    Aspen Jetride is DONE.

I worked there as well star...... Mr. I.

Pisser. Another 65 or so pilots on the street!!! Mr. I.

Any open corporate gigs in the St Louis area?

Was told that JetSelect was looking for a 60 FO just last week. Might be worth a try. Mr. I.

PlaneSense/Alpha Flying Grob Jet - Any Updates?

Apparently no more hiring and they're asking for voluntary work days from the pilots. Mr. I.

Changing Frequency after clearing the Runway

Incorrect. It is in the AIM that you should contact tower once completing your taxi when reaching the runway or in the runup block. This is the only time I know of when you should switch frequencies without being instructed to do so. Mr. I.

    Fair Wind Aviation

Anyone have any intel on this operation headquartered in SUA? PM me if need be. Thanks. Mr. I.

    Lear 55/60 PIC

65k is on the low end nationally. For the NYC area, try more like 85-90 for the low end and over 100k on the high end. Depends on the sched but at least two weeks off a year to start. Health insurance, all depends on the company but I've never heard of it not offered except by low-balling...

    Colgan Air, then what?

This is like "Do I go for the girl that is 5'2" and weighs 175 or the girl that is 6'1" and weighs 205?" No matter how much lipstick you put on it, it's still a pig. Get more flight time and try either a better regional or get your turbine experience elsewhere. If you have to go for one or...

    PlaneSense / Alpha Flying

Phil, I don't think working for Alpha is a bad job starting out. You'll probably learn quite a bit. On the other hand as dickburns pointed out, and a much older pilot once told me about a company I once worked for(not Alpha), "it's a good place to start and a good place to finish, but you...

    PlaneSense / Alpha Flying

Ok, I do see your points. It is great that he is excited about getting out in the working world and pursuing a dream of flying for a living! Per the original posters query, 27k isn't so much obviously. Although at that age being broke is pretty much expected. The perspective of a 22 year old is...

    PlaneSense / Alpha Flying

No offense young buck but you're far too inexperienced in the game of life to be calling anyone who highlights the difficulties in living on 27k a year a whiner. Maybe you still live at home? With three roommates? If you end up with a girlfriend, guess how quick going out a few times a month...

Avantair, Alpha Flying, or Cape Air Training Contracts?

How long have you been working in management? Mr. I.
  16. M

Avantair, Alpha Flying, or Cape Air Training Contracts?

True, but pilots don't have proprietary knowledge of the company, high-level management does however. That's where most non-competes are, not at a pilot level. The one being referenced is there only to keep pilots from going to other PC-12 positions that pay more $$$. Mr. I.
  17. M

Avantair, Alpha Flying, or Cape Air Training Contracts?

As I understand, Alpha has had pilots leave and fly PC-12's for owner operators before. Usually for extremely generous increases in salary. I have no idea how it was handled by either side really. I agree glass, not in a million years would that crap hold up in court. Just a way to get pilots...

    PlaneSense / Alpha Flying

That's pretty bold for someone who hasn't worked at a company to say. It's a good attitude to have starting out but you might be dissapointed after the initial excitement wears off, whether it is this job or your next one. Nobody survives on 27k a year living a high QOL unless they are...

    121 or go to FLEXJET

Haha. I thought the same thing considering he has a airlink avatar! I don't even work for Flexjet but I wondered how anyone could be so clueless. Mr. I.

    Alpha Flying

Excel and Beechjet eh? Is that a case of in-between the two? They're two totally different cabins. Just curious. Seems like getting Alpha to provide competitive pay rates and QOL is like squeezing blood from a stone. Mr. I.
