Well, I'm quite surprised they stopped in time. It usually takes ATC a minimum of three attempts to get through to most DL pilots. Their radio discipline is the worst of any carrier.
Where are you getting this information? I would'nt be at all surprised if it's not the week before Jepps stops printing plates, and then they'll panic.

Very lucky! Aircraft mounted the embankment between two sets of large overflow pipes from the bay, and took out several hundred feet of fence. If it had hit those pipes I am sure there would have been a fireball and many injuries or worse. Very fortunate.
Strange business. Endeavor was helping to pull the other regionals down with their terrible pay scales, now the opposite might actually happen. Becoming more of a pilot's market again perhaps?
I think ASA can currently staff those aircraft. Our 200 ops for united in Dulles stops soon, so we should have pilots.
Not many coming through the hiring pipeline however.
