    Delta F/A interview

I'm actually a pilot. Submitted this post for a co-worker. They didn't mention anything about a difficulty submiting app.

    Delta F/A interview

Any good gouge on the Delta f/a interview, or a different site that may be more geared towards that? Also, work rules, junior base, starting pay, what to expect at training? Thanks Swimmer

Who is the CP at World Airlways?

Last I heard it was R.K. Smithly Swimmer

    World Airways questions

trip length It depends...It generally averaged out to 2 weeks on and two off. Although there were bid lines that would have three 5-6 day trips as well. There were times that I was gone for 28 days as well (not the norm). Per dieum was $2.40/hour.

    Yet another 737 Type question

NEDude: I also got my type at Aero Services, and didn't have any problems. While it was not the most organized outfit, it got the job done...and it was cheap! If you prepare ahead of time with the materials that they send you, it is really not any different than any other type rating. I'm...

    Yet another 737 Type question

Aeroservice NEDude: You may want to consider AeroService, also in MIA. The price a few years ago was similar, but it was in a round dial B737-300. Just a thought. Swimmer

    NON Pool SWA Hiring

The pool Airbus: I'm sure that there are more than the 157 on our "unoffical" pool list. Exactly how many is a mystery to all. Last I heard there are plans for two classes (of 24) a month until July. Then a brief break, and then resume in October. I have heard that 392 was the number for...

    Some SWA news

I think that I am the lowest on the list that made it into the Jan 12th class. We passed around a sheet yesterday so the list could be updated...not sure if that was distributed to Heat or not. The first week has been great!! You have the same info we got from the first day of class. 392...

To All SOON 2B Former SWA Poolies!!!

Slipped in under the wire Just thought I would let you all know that I got a call this week to attend the Jan 12th class. I was in Korea, and just arrived home last night, from a two week trip. Needless to say I'm frantically unpacking/repacking. Can't wait to get to DAL tomorrow!! Swimmer:)

    SWA Newhire class

I talked to LL yesterday, and she basically said there was very little chance of me making this first class (I'm #22 on the "list"). Even if a few of the military activations aren't able to make it. The good news was that she claimed I would be at the top of the list for the next class...

Delta MD-11s coming out of the desert?

MD-11's to WOA General: Your right (kinda). Delta did give World one of their MD-11's on a power by the hour basis. World has one on line, with rumor for two more soon. Swimmer

    SWA Poolies - Forms Update

Well that is good news, maybe it is an indicator on some classes soon. I haven't been home in a while to see if I have a packet as well. Swimmer

    SWA Poolies - Forms Update

Annual background check I think I got the same thing a few months back. It turned out that it was exactly a year since I had filled out the background paper work. So my guess is they are just keeping up with the annual check...I hope I'm wrong. Swimmer

    SWA background check

Did anyone else get a background check packet in the mail recently? My last one was about a year old, wondering if that is just a annual thing, or if they might be getting ready for some more classes this year. Last time I talked to LL I was told that they had hired 148 (140 projected), and...

    SWA interviews: Good news!

Rumor? Rollercoaster ride is right! Or is it rumorcoaster? Aplus9: While I agree that a portion of what gets posted on these boards is rumor, the info from LL is straight from the company. I'm sure she is not making staffing decissions, and therfore not always in the know, but atleast the...

    Internation flying.

position awareness is twice as important down there and just because a controller says something be careful about doing it- they have been known to run people into mountains at a much higher rate than their American counterparts........ also flying internationally when a controller says...

    RV parking at OAK

Can anyone give me the straight skinny on the RV parking situation at Oakland? I have access to a FREE motorhome, and wondering if it will be worth getting a hold of. I think a recent post said it was $110/month, but a previous post claimed that Oakland was planning on doing away with the RV...

    Corporate vs Airlines

Bally: Tough choice. It sounds like you have a great corporate job. I had one of those corp. jobs that you described, chasing down dog bones and such. I've been flying for an airline now for almost three years, and wouldn't dream of going back to corp. I do miss "running the show", but...
