    Dayjets closing doors TODAY

Not operating the the most charter intensive areas of the U.S. (NY, NJ, DC, IL, OH, TX, and CA) was an incredibly bad tactical blunder from day one. Rule number one of business charter: Go where the business IS. I'm truly sorry for everyone who lost their jobs.

    NJA military friendly?

Just an echo of everybody else. We have gobs of Muther Rucker, Pensacola, and Air Force mafia types here, including fomer pilots of Air Force One, and Marine One. I just finished a great tour with a retired Army driver. This place likes pilots from the military, and goes the extra mile to work...

I thought riding on airline could not get any worse

There is no "average". I've had plenty of tours where I kept my plane the entire tour, plenty where I did not. Guys at company MX hub bases often fly their plane in and out and don't even see an airline. I used to be based at one. There are simply too many variables for a standard answer.

I thought riding on airline could not get any worse

It is important for you to understand that without the airlines, the fractionals will simply use their own aircraft to move crews. Proving runs for inter-line crew transport have already been flown by at least one fractional.

One more reason why fractional flying is here to STAY

Angry flight attendant charged with setting fire on plane 5/16/08 --- FARGO, North Dakota (AP) -- A flight attendant angry about his work route smuggled a lighter aboard an airplane and set a fire in a bathroom, forcing an emergency landing, authorities said Thursday. The Compass Airlines...

    ASA to NJA?

Netjets plans to hire between 350 - 400 people in 2008 as of TODAY. Be advised those numbers change based on A/C delivery lags, sim slots, and new projections. Bottom line? Times a wasting, get a resume in the pile.

    Annual flight time

Choose your fleet carefully.... Netjets In the Ultra, I averaged 500 hrs per year. (1997-2001) In the Citation VII, about 150 hrs per year. (2002-2006) I'm in the Hawker 800XPC now, guys seem to be flying from 200-300 hours per year.
