121 guy here. Flying to an airport the other day with poor weather. The ILS required 3/4, but the field was reporting only 1/4. A "dotcom" flight accepted the approach and flew in. Smaller airport, no RVR. How is this legal? Thanks
Thanks. I guess 91 has no restriction on needling a minimum to accept an approach attempt. Yikes unless you're CAT2 or higher less than 1/4 doesn't sound safe.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to get from the passenger terminals to the cargo ramps in an attempt to catch a jumpseat. Specifically Fedex or UPS in DTW. Thanks!
Its official. Memo came out this morning. 11 CRJ 200s out of DFW starting Jan 2013. Its a 4 year CPA with the option to extend and exchange for larger aircraft is scope alllows.

FWIW...I have been told by several schedulers, some supervisors, that they have nothing to do with the auto notifications. Supposedly the auto notify system is totally computer generated.
So you are saying the decision on when or how to get a time is up to the Center controlling that area and not the tower? The tower just works based on what the Center is telling them?
