    Jumpseating NWA

    Not sure of Mesaba, but Pinnacle only takes 3 jumpseats. NWA takes 1 for each jump seat + 2 additional. DC-9, 757, have 1 jump seat. Airbus has 2 jumpseats.

    Scenic Airlines

    EAS normally stands for essential air service. Basically the government pays a certain dollar figure to an airline to fly into a city that would not be profitable otherwise. Most of the EAS is 19 seaters. Maybe Scenic has found another source of income.

    Don't worry about passing training. Most people who fail training at any airline do so because attitude problems or being a horrible pilot. If you are confident in your skills and learn what the instructors tell you, you will have no problem. "Cooperate and graduate" those are the key words...

    The Saab pay, for the FO's at least, is the result of selling out the Avro FO's. The union promised that there would be seperate FO pay scales Check out the difference between Comair 70 FO rates, and Mesaba Avro rates. Second year is about a $14/hr difference.

    If Delta didn't want this recall to happen, they could have stopped it. If they had raised ticket prices so the pax traffic remained below pre 9/11 levels, they could have avoided this situation. NWA is recalling Delta is recalling who's next?

    Read my post again. I said that I believe that profits will be made when concessions are made, not wages will increase when concessions are made. Common sense says that fuel prices go up, and fuel prices go down.

    Yes the pay will come back, it's just a matter of time. I suspect once the unions take cuts and fuel prices come down airlines will start making a profit/stop hiding a profit.

    News at Pinnacle?????

    They started doing some training and checking in CVG last month I believe. The 2 sims in MEM are not enough for the amount of trainging that needs to be done. I think that there are plans to install a third sim in MEM. Don't know when though.
