With the 911 anniversary coming up, I thought this was quite appropriate- aero99.
"DO NOT FORGET"
I sat in a movie theater watching "Schindler's List," asked myself, "Why didn't the Jews fight back?"
Now I know why.
I sat in a movie theater, watching "Pearl Harbor" and asked myself, "Why...
Anyone know of charter operators that run from Ft. Luaderdale or Miami to Marathon?
Trying to book a trip down there and would rather not rent a car and drive.
Thanks in advanced.

This is what happens when you mix bad genes and alcohol.
I would bet this really is fairly common around the smaller aiports and smaller towns.
For those without real one player, some bozo is getting on the radio at TKI (McKinney just...
My stomach turned watching the 10 o'clock news just now.
My thoughts are with the families and friends of the crew.
Hope it was no one on this board as I know there are some tanker pilots here.
Last week a lear 35 did a fly by down the runway, 50ft off the deck at the airport I office at. The runway is 3500 feet, and is a level 1(?) rated airport. (Someone told me the level 1 bit, though I hadn't heard of a rating system for airports.)
It is an uncontrolled field with no ILS. There...
Just curious what floats do to a planes performance.
Saw a Caravan on floats a few weekends back. Couldn't believe how large the floats were. I would imagine decreased weight and decreased speed due to extra drag.
I know this is a pretty vague question, but is there a certain number of twin time to have before an insurance company would cover an owner? Specifically a piston twin, under 12,500GW?

Can't find anything on the news, anyone have info?
I think it is somewhat ironic that they discuss future airport crowding in the same report that tells about billion dollar losses for the next year.
How exactly does the FAA predict the number of RJ's for the future?
from cnn this am...
What are some of the better aiports around the country to fly to for fun?
Thinking about planning a cross country to hit about 10-15 different states for site seeing and vacationing.
Resorts, Fly-in communities, anything not "Big City".
I know some of you out there have been to some...
Anyone fly, or even seen one of these new aircraft. I know the Solaris story, but was curious as to flight characteristics or info on the composites used.
Last night on the 5 o'clock weather they showed a pretty big radar return just south of DFW. It was probably 80 miles by 20 miles in size. The weather guy said this wasn't rain, but metal chaffing(sp?) from miltary aircraft.
When I was in the Navy, the ships had a metal shaffing to misdirect...
I have some insider info regarding a new GA aircraft that is in a concept stage right now. I can't name the company, but here are some preliminary specs. Most interesting part is the company is not an Aircraft Manufacture.
