    Floats

    Just curious what floats do to a planes performance. Saw a Caravan on floats a few weekends back. Couldn't believe how large the floats were. I would imagine decreased weight and decreased speed due to extra drag.

    ads incident today.

    ADS is closed. Apparently a King Air landed and reported landing gear problems. A mechanic was sent out ( don't know if to the ramp or runway) to look at the probelm. The gear collapsed and pined the mechanic under the plane. Can't find anything on the news, anyone have info?
