    8-12" forcast at MDW

Thanks to all. Decided things looked lousy enough to postpone arrival until Saturday. The idea of arriving into an early afternoon blizzard and then having to negotiate I-94 north into the hinterlands of WI was something that could wait a day. As it looks like there is more on the way, this...

    8-12" forcast at MDW

I'm not familiar with the ops at MDW but the wife and I are suppose to be flying in tomorrow on WN for a holiday visit and the weather looks to be pretty crappy. Does MDW do a good job keeping the ops going during major snowstorms or should we figure out some sort of alternate plan. Tks in...

MKE - Whats your Layover Hotel?

    FFDO Training: Reloader?

Trying to schedule a week for next month and heard it's a good idea to bring one along to make things easier. Is this really the case? If so, is there a particular type i.e. brand, caliber, etc to seek out? Also, any suggestions on what else to bring along ( besides drinking money...) would...

News Anchor does story on regional pay

Ditto on Dylin's thoughts. I think the public would freak if they got a look see at some of these schedules we fly. Especially when set next to the new trucking rest requirements. Shocking to say the least. Next add the pay issue.........

The Republican Airline Pilot a paradox?

Just ask the folks at AA how the most recent Whithouse Dem. helped their cause during negotiations a few years back. Sold them out is what that administration did. Give me a break......

Good places to fly to in Oregon?

You could fly into Seaside, call the Stephenie Inn in Cannon Beach for a pick-up and have dinner their. It's a bit spendy, $25-$35 per person, but the dinner and the setting has always been worth it to me. They have 2 seatings each evening and reservations are a must. A less spendy option...

    Lodging in Dillingham Alaska?

DLM Havn't been up there in about 8 years but there was a small motel located in town when I was there. Put in a call to Penn Air in ANC(corporate, not resevations), I'm sure they have all the info you could want and would'nt mind sharing. Folks up there in AK are all about helping each other...

    Airplane systems for dummies

I second the recommendation of The Turbine Pilots Flight Manual. It does a terrific job of breaking down all the major systems in an easy to read format. Well worth having in your library. Invaluable for interview/oral prep. Enjoy.
