I wish I had a nickel for every time I heard that.....I'd be riding in the back instead of the front.

Buffett Bites Back at NetJets Pilot Complaints

You bring up some valid points in this thread, but I have to disagree with you. In the current market, I have a hard time believing that it will be so easy to hire 1000+ pilots willing to cross a picket line and forever have their names on a scab list. Our hiring department isn't exactly...

    NJ Recalls

Recalls were announced in January. About 200 have been recalled, so that averages out to about 17 a month. There were two classes in September, one at the beginning of the month, the other at the end of the month, but they skipped a class in October.

    NJ Recalls

    They've averaged less than 20 a month.

acaterry, most economists agree that the economy we were laid off in was the worst since the great depression. Most have gone through a furlough before, but none had a tougher time finding a job, much less a flying job. That's not what some whiny 495'er is saying, that's what economists said...

Bieber pilots had to us O2 masks, FA abused

The charter company I fly for would back me 100% for diverting if a passenger refused to stop smoking. It has nothing to do with the type of flying you're doing. Hindsight is 20/20, but it sounds like this captain should have been a little more forceful. I think letting passengers get away...

    Netjets Recalls!!!!

Appreciate you asking. I think a lot of us were feeling pretty optimistic when we first heard of recalls, but from the latest info, it seems that we're in for yet another disappointment.

    There be good news coming...

Didn't the email say the recalls were due to attrition? If so, I don't think they lost 185 guys. I honestly don't know who or what to believe anymore. I hope you're source is right, it would be a nice surprise after the past 4 years of disappointment.

    Stop extending Nja brothers

Yea, I have ZERO respect for the man. If he ever gets tired of investing, he could go into acting.

    Nov 1st NJA? whats up???

Unless you're the union president. Apparently he cares so little, we're not even worth a mention in the year end wrap up. Never thought I would miss ALPA, but at least they have enough class to remember the guys they have on the street.

    NJ Recalls

Some? From the furloughed guys I keep in touch with, I only know of 1 that has a better job than NJA. A few guys that went 121 may or may not come back, depending how much longer the furlough is and where they stand on their current seniority list. I know too many that are out of aviation all...

    NJ Recalls

Ahhh, that explains it. I bumped into a "seasoned" captain one night in a hotel van. I mentioned I was one of the 495 and he looked confused. The FO explain that I was one of the furloughed guys, but he still looked confused. All this time, I thought he didn't know guys were on furlough...

KASE. If I never make it back to Aspen again, that would be fine with me.

    NJ Recalls

We get these crazy ideas when we're in the van with a NJA crew, mention to the older captain that we're one of the "495" and get a blank stare in return. After an awkward few seconds, his FO tells him, "he's one of our furloughed guys".....and he still seems a bit confused that NJA still has...

How to pack for 10-15 days?

When I started doing 7 day tours, I bought a set of 3 small packing cubes. http://www.ebags.com/the-ebags-brand/learnmore/packing_cubes Best thing I ever bought. I'm able to pack for 8 days, 9 if I really have to, with a 22 in roller board. Anything more than 9, I have to do laundry. Each...

    Pretty sad...thanks DS

No doubt that extended days are a contractual right, I don't think anyone would disagree with you there. The problem is the way G200 comes across pointing out that fact. He kicks the hornets nest and then complains when he gets stung. I can't remember if NJASAP did it, or if it was my last...

    NetJets 2nd Qtr Earnings

So much for trying to carry on an intelligent conversation with you. Just stick your head in the sand and pretend some of the issues NJAowner bring up don't exist....I'm sure they'll just disappear while you're in your happy place.

    NetJets 2nd Qtr Earnings

For the amount of money NJA charges, I think asking for a years worth of patience is a bit much. A month maybe, but a whole year? The 2 minutes on hold is one thing, but for nobody to get back to him after a complaint is inexcusable. I loved NetJets and thought it delivered a superior...

    Android OS and nav charts

In a pinch, you can visit www.airnav.com and look up any airport. You'll be able to view any plate in pdf format, and even see a VFR sectional for that area.
