From and XJET guy, I want to say thanks to each and every Eagle pilot who helped to change the industry today.
If you work for Republic and you're reading this, you know how powerful your vote is. You are the final piece of the puzzle. Change this thing forever.
The path has been...
If any AirTran folks could help me by looking up loads for this Wed (3/5) from CAK to MCO, I'd greatly appreciate it.
I believe there are two non-stops.
Thanks!
Far from negotiated. They were arbitrated rates. We of course, had no say or input. They're pretty easy to remember.....
Terms and Conditions
1. Compensation
a. Current EMB-145 pay tables will be applied to any 41-50 seat aircraft.
b. New pay tables for 51-90 seat aircraft with rates $2 higher...
One naturally assumes they'd maintain the average of 3 per day is all.
Although, those were all penned by the same person. Some guy that told us we had to vote yes.
Maybe they let that guy go.
Shame.
It's literally deafening.
The lack of a message in the past 30 hours is 100x more resounding than any words they could have published.
They have been rocked to the core. I can't wait to see what comes next.
And yes, useless turds. :)
You are correct, the term "pilot shortage" has been thrown around so frequently for so long that its lost all of its luster. I actually cringe when I hear/see people refer to it.
That said, I can tell you without question that XJT is in trouble right now with regards to staffing. We need more...
You're simply feeding his point my friend. Our (LXJT) reserve rules don't suck. As he stated, let's retain our (best of XJT + best of ASA) work rules and compensation at current book values. It just so happens that the "book value" of the LXJT scheduling section is significantly better than that...
That's rather short sighted. Of course you do. We all do. UA/DL/AA will happily pay you and I $hit wages for the rest of our careers. All we have to do is vote them in.
We're in the process of doing that. This isn't just about wages, we are fighting to protect our retirement, reserve rules...
I'm not wasting too much time on an anonymous board discussing stuff with guys who just don't get it - but allow me to make a simple point as I'm interested in your response (not really).
All you did by "buying us some time" was create more substandard jobs at the regional level. Do you...
Ding. Ding. We have a winner.
We had two options:
1.) Take voluntary concessions with no promise of a future.
2.) Tell them to stick it with no promise of a future.
Message sent. If they want to replace 4,500 pilots then go right on ahead. They can't fill a class of 40.
Nobody is coming along to save the day for management. Times have changed.
It's time they got on board. :)
As for ALPA, they have not adequately represented pilots in the regional sector for a long time. I don't claim to have all the answers but we have to receive backing at the national level...
