Avoid PSA like the plague. they are having major problems with mainline right now. Great airplane though, but the contract is a concessionary piece of crap.
Also, the earlier poster was right, ACA has a DorkJet base in Cinci as well as Comair's main hub.
A great one out west is the NDB 17 (i believe) in Tacoma. NDB is off field, on an island about 7 miles away and the airport is on a cliff above puget sound. If you can get within 1/2 mile of the airport witht he needles centered, you are a stud. A bud was taking a FAA 135 ride, and the...
Has anyone heard of any new classes in the coming months? A buddy in CRJ transitioning said that the plan is 400 new pilots this year. Hopefully more classes will mean more hiring!!!
Also, I saw today that American Eagle is going to start flying some Delta stuff out of LAX in the...
I'm looking for a good deal on decent pilot shirts. Anyone have any good sites/stores for cheap shirts? I like the ones that crew-gear used to have, and was wondering where they went.
Thanx
The Dork doesn't have anywhere near the hot and high problems the brazilian king air has. I've only had to take people off once or twice for a 2 hr flight to CHS with terrible wx. now if you guys are in fact getting the jet...that thing is a rocket. I got to fly the sim for a few minutes...
Go for it. I left a desk job four years ago with 0 flight time, and am flying for a regional. I think that it will be realistic, if you want to, to make it to a major. All things are cyclical, and this current crisis is no different. Depending on where you life, just beg borrow and steal any...

.
Thanks guys for the help. I was scared out of my mind that this was going to screw me for my medical.
What a pain in the you know what. felt like I was trying to "move" a bowling ball. Good drugs for the pain though!!
If you are going to Skywest...try and get Denver or SLC as a base, and the commute will be pretty easy. It's always easier if it's hub to hub. If you are able to get the RJ, then DFW would be easy. As far as crashpads...just wait till class, usually people within the compnay will help new...
laker math
Maybe I'm on crack, but isn't Lakes Part 121?? If that is the case, then how can you log 1,200 hrs a year, when the reg says it's 1,000 max???
