    Strange sound @ TOD, compressor stall?

    Out of FL240, eased the trim wheel down, pulled the pwr lvrs slowly back and heard strange, almost shudder noise. Not really a bang (tough to describe on a keyboard). I have no experience with a compressor stall but it was the first thing that came to mind. Other guy thought it was a fuselage...

    RVSM, getting a LOA.

    Before I call the local FSDO, I would like advice on how to get a LOA. We recently purchased an aircraft that came out of MX RVSM equipped. We both went through RVSM training at simuflite. Now do I call the fsdo and do a demo flight or what? I would rather here from a pilot than the feds. Thanks
