    First Charter Job

I got this advice before my first charter flight: "Don't touch anything that is red or has dust on it."

    Lear35 Pay

Me too. A dream partially fulfilled is better than no dream at all.

    Lear35 Pay

If my Lear job offers were in that range, maybe I'd still be flying. All of these are for SIC: Freight - $17K + mileage Charter - $25K & $36K

    Skydiving Places

Dang it, now my wife will know that those 1000 hours are all for nothing. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the greatness of flying the cherished topless female skydiver and earning extra altitude.

    F-18 @ ADS on Tues.

Anybody know what was up with the Hornet at ADS on Tuesday? Pretty cool, especially lighting the burners during the break. Bet he/she caused some 911 calls.

    Lear 35 pay

    What I've been offered - $17K plus mileage $24K (twice) $36K - should've taken that one.

Rolled The Trucks @ ADS 8/18

Anybody know what the deal was Friday night? Tough to get close to the rwy now but looked like a twin with a gear issue.

    ORD Thursday Night

What happened - was WX that bad? A ton of flights cancelled / delayed, including mine to IND. Customer service said I could get to IND on the next available flight with a open seat - July 30.

Types of AC seen at Hondo, TX airport

Didn't they have two tornados that year? That DC-9 had holes in the ailerons from the hail stones so big you could stick your hand through it. PM me some pics if you can.

Types of AC seen at Hondo, TX airport

I flew jumpers at a motorcycle rally outside of Hondo a few years back. We based out of Hondo for the weekend. There was a Mexicana DC-9 parked there that had the snot knocked out of it by a hail storm. It wasn't going anywhere soon. There was also a good number of military trainers parked...

Aircraft has slid off runway at MDW

I don't know why it put smiley faces in my post above. Nothing is meant or implied by it on my part. Nevermind. I fixed it.

Aircraft has slid off runway at MDW

Flightaware.com shows it holding southeast of MDW and landing at 19:16 cst. SWA 321 arrived 1903 SWA 1830 arrived 1907 That looks like the last to come in.

Tips on flying old Cessna 182

The 182 I fly is an old jump plane, circa 1957 I believe. Nose up trim and 2 notches of flaps for landing.

    Cherry Air?

The only problem I have with Cherry is the noise they create. 12:30 this morning, I am on my patio enjoying a nice Bombay and a CAO Italia. The peaceful white noise of the tollroad was violated with the sound of one of you guys launching from ADS. While I raised my glass and wished you a...

    Skydivers/Jump Pilot Question

I found it in the STC while doing a debrief after a familiarization flight. So much for the steep turns. They also claim to fly it with 13 jumpers onboard. Problem is, the W & B gross weight doesn't go that high.

    Skydivers/Jump Pilot Question

I used to haul butt down in my younger days. That was until I figured out it was much cooler up high than sitting down on the taxiway waiting for them to finish dirt diving. We are evaluating a King Air now. No banking greater than 15 degrees and no speed greater than 70% of max cruise per...

    mid 30's

I was just about to apply to the regionals when 9/11 happened. Now I am 39, and just can't seem to justify flying full time due to the pay. Here are my job offers since 9/11: Lear 25/35/55 FO - 19,000 Lear 31 FO - 38,000 Lear 35 FO - 24,000 SAAB 340 FO - 18000 My grocery expense for my...
