In almost 2 years of flying a CJ2 I've only ever encountered one pilot applying a headwind correction to Vref :erm: and his background is the Regionals so that's probably where he picked it up.
Does it even make sense to do it for a CJ2 with a MLW of 11,500lbs?
What say you...yea or nea

As the question states; I always cringe when I see people toting "sofa" style pillows around for flights in light SE aircraft.
Is there any FAA guidance as far as approved booster seats?
If I buy through Aircraft Spruce am I in the clear?
To make it very clear, I am not talking about a child...
Having a discussion with a badge carrying federal employee.
Example:
CFI is approached by a pilot wishing to do a flight review in a tail wheel.
CFI has no tail wheel endorsement but the pilot is still within his/her 24 months so is acting PIC. Legal yes/no?
I say yes, not wise but legal...
The Boss man is considering an airplane which is a little more purpose built to do spins that your usual normal/utility spam can.
If you exclude the Extra's , YAK's , Zlin's and other "heavy" aerobatic aircraft pretty much the Citabria and Decathlon remain.
Purpose of the aircraft is to offer...

Here's something that has me scratching my head.......
I got refused a Special VFR clearance while trying to descent into a Class D airport under a Class C shelf. Controller said no, the field is VFR, I can only give you special VFR if the field is reporting IFR

Are there differences if you are 91 or 135?
Obviously for the purpose of taking photographs.

Can a Pilot certificated by country X fly an N-registered aircraft in country X if the local aviation authorities approve?
I have a Polish buddy who holds a JAR CPL wondering if he can fly a N-registered jumper plane.

I know, I should know all this.
But it's the end of the day, my brain died and I can't find in the FAR's the true definition of for hire.
It's to settle a discussion so I would appreciate some help.
91.205 requires a landing light if it's "for hire"
Does this mean a flight school aircraft needs...
