    Very sarcastic, however, very informative debate. IMOO the guy knew what "severe" would do to the system. He said it for a reason and may have saved lives that night.

I have never ever, set an ADF to a freq, turned up the volume, and dozed off........(when you get close it starts screaming, wakes you up)..........but someday i would like...

    Guard and/or Military Flying

    It's only out of the question if you quit trying. Call the aviation units in your area and they will have somebody who know's exactly what you can and cannot get a waiver for. I'm in Flight Training right now for the Army, and I know of several people who needed age waivers to get here.

    Motocross

    Big Honda fan here!!! I started on the CR 80, upgraded to a CR 125, now I'm on a CR 250. It's the best workout a pilot can get, both mentally and phyically. Nothing beats hitting a tripple, 6th gear, balls to the wall,,,,,,,,,,,,,,WOW........... It deffinitly compares (hands down) to a ADF...

    Considering Army Aviation.

    Look into flying for the Army National Guard. It's almost the same benifits as active duty (flight pay, insurance, free tuition, etc..), but you get to go home at night.

    PHL is fine if you are a resident. As far as NJ goes, MJX is beautiful. Good sized strip and nice FBO.
