Hypothetical scenario: Guy is in ground school at brand X for 1-2 weeks and quits to go to brand Y. How is brand X handled on the background check or PRIA forms? Is it required to disclose if one never went into a sim etc?
What kind of flight time categories are airlines looking for on a resume besides total time, pic/sic, etc?
Ive been using the same format for 15 years and it seems that listing IFR and cross country time is irrelevant at this stage in one's career. So looking at a logbook, which columns are...
Looking at fares recently for various city pairs and was baffled at how US Airways is able to charge 50%+ less than DL UA AA etc.
I'm getting a little annoyed at this since the company deadheads me on the cheapest ticket and that usually means US via the opposite direction to where I'm...
I live between MIA and FLL. Given the choice, and I can only chose 1 for homebasing, which is the better airport to use?
Also, does anyone have any suggestions on free hotel parking lots to use near MIA or FLL?
Thanks!

According to the German newspaper "Die Welt", the European parliament is expected to cancel the braindead liquid-ban on airlines. According to EU Politicians, the current regulations are "not intelligent" and deliver "no increase of security".
Just curious how the quality of your hotels are both domestic and overseas. It seems that most hotels overseas are much better than the ones on domestic overnights. My vote for worst hotel chain most common to airlines is the Holiday Inn.

I have noticed this year that a jumpseater is always processed in Y class then F class depending on availability, whereas nonrevs are F then Y. Thus when the cabin is wide open a jumpseater will always be assigned a seat in coach even if first class is empty or filled with S4 buddy passes etc...

Overheard some CAL guys talking about one of their 777's from EWR over the pole that hit clear air turbulence and went inverted! Anyone know anything about this?
Anyone else having a problem in Europe with our low per diem rates?
18€ for a pay-per-view movie (not porn!) in the hotel
7€ for a mini-bottle of wine
4€ for a can of coke
24€ for breakfast buffet
24€ for 24 hours of internet access
Either we are getting ripped off on European layovers, or...
Must be a slow day in news, no violence in Iraq, or more pressing world issues that we have to see how many airplanes are in the air and how many f&&&JKing delays every airport is experiencing ALL DAY LONG!! Judging by the news, one would think our ATC problems happened overnight!
The news...
A friend of mine who just left Skywest emailed me this article. Looks like a win for Captain's Authority! Ive heard of several bogus terminations at Skywest in the past few years, but this is even more reason you guys need a union! I cannot believe the cheif pilot hired a "handwriting expert" to...
I've been riding DH on a lot of airlines in Europe lately and it seems that almost always the passengers clap after landing! I've noticed this flying in Latin/South America as well! Another thing they do is form a huge single file line when boarding is announced! LMAO!!
I find it hilarious...
