    717's at Delta

Red, Was that acquistion done before Bond/Mckaskill or before the recent wave of arbitrated SLIs? You know it was. About how many Airtran pilots are ahead of you on your current list? I am sure you want all of them to leave so one day in the next decade you can upgrade. Godspeed...

    717's at Delta

Not me. I'm probably junior to you but I think my seniority at Delta will skyrocket compared to anyone at the bottom at SWA. If you are a SWA guy with 700 or more Airtran guys ahead of you, it may be a decade before you upgrade. Go ahead over there Jim, and thanks for letting me move up a...

    SWAPA Comments about 717

Ouch. The truth will set you free. I also can't believe the letter from Chase. That's rough. Godspeed! The OYSter

Delta TA impact on Delta Connection...

Delta could dump the CRJs via the PNCL BK, or trade them in for larger new RJs. Since Delta now pretty much owns PNCL, they seem to prefer owning the CR9s and whipsawing them between airlines that will fly them for the cheapest rate possible. They like control. Godspeed! The OYSter

Could someone smart explain SKYW stock's continual decline?

Too bad Skywest isn't ALPA. The TA says at least 35% of upcoming newhires will come from ALPA DCI carriers. Looks like ASA, and PNCL pilots will be picked up. At least Skywest will have plenty of crews for those new 76 seaters. Godspeed! The OYSter

Here is the DAL MEC Chairman's letter about the TA....

It may be sooner than 2 1/2 years. Looks like GK is setting you guys up for paycuts or status quo at best. Hold the line guys! At least now our Whale, 777, A330, and 767-400 guys will make more per hour than your 737s. Truth! Godspeed! The OYSter

Here is the DAL MEC Chairman's letter about the TA....

Dan, You probably should be more interested in this TA than others since it may affect you directly someday. Sounds like our fleets will be pretty well matched if we do get those AT 717s. Just sayin.... My own opinion? I don't think it will lead to any furloughs, rather big hiring if those...

    Delta TA-whos seen it?

No way that would pass. I saw the bump up in weight, but that could be for someone else. There is zero chance of that here. The two largest requests in the contract survey turned out to be scope and pay. I have heard some additional 76 seaters inexchange for a lower number of total RJs (50's...

    RJet Q400's

I thought Skywest was going to fly the Q's for United? Some of those may head off to DEN like the Lynx planes. Maybe they'll do Aspen (ASE) also? Bummer. Godspeed! The OYSter

    RUMORS....XJHawk makes em up

I see it there too, and it sickens me. But, we know those 50 seaters will be going away due to inefficiency. I hope not one more 76 seater is allowed, but I too have a feeling DALPA will allow some replacements. I will vote a big no if so. I don't think it would be one for one, but I will...

    RUMORS....XJHawk makes em up

Being DTW based and seeing what seems like thousands of RJs everyday I fly, I would vote a big fat no to any increase in RJ numbers, or increase in size of RJs. I don't know any Captain I have flown with on the bus who would vote to allow it either. Godspeed! The OYSter

    It's Official: USAirways Wants American

The APA will do better, even though the judge will look at the fact that the APA was in BK and could have shrunk even more had USair not come in and helped. Overall, if it happens, the APA would have a larger piece of the pie since they are bigger and have more widebodies. But, before the...

    It's Official: USAirways Wants American

USAPA was created because the Easties didn't like the NIC award, that was a BINDING AWARD. Don't give me the "USAPA is Constitutionally....BS..." If the merger happens, that union is GONE. GOOD BYE. Then they can shove their Constitution up their you know where. They are hiding from a...

Southwest has NO plans to furlough if 717s leave, from GK

DL is not merging with AT or SWA. IF there was a merger, then any SLI should be done fairly. If SWA were to return planes they don't own to a lessor, and then the lessor leases those planes to someone else, then why take the pilots? Just like I stated earlier about the China Eastern MD90s...

    It's Official: USAirways Wants American

It's very easy. US positions to aquire AA, and tells the East and West that if they don't merge the lists the way the NIC award was supposed to do, then they will operate AA seperately, (just like the East and West are done now---staying on their own planes), and only give the AA guys the raise...

    It's Official: USAirways Wants American

No, it is not. It's called binding arbitration. The company is waiting to see with Judge Silver how to handle it, but they are aware that they could be sued also if anything affects the West side. The APA is also aware I am sure. So, when USAPA is voted out, the APA will most likely reinstate...

American and US Air - why???????

Another thread said USAir East will retire 1865 pilots within the next 7 years. AA has a lot of old Captains and old FOs due to hiring young civilians during the B-scale days, and then hiring military guys after the B-scale went away, that are now all the same age. The clear eventual winners...
