I'm guessing you had some bad news in that announcement Acarpe, and I'm sorry if that's the case. But it is definitely old news. It was announced on the 16th. Someone left a printed out copy of it in the airplane I flew last week. If you're just hearing about it now, you're way out of the loop...
So, why organize it based on aircraft category at all? Why not just use the seniority list as a whole? Is there any benefit to the theoretical bid position? Aside from making my blood pressure skyrocket for a few hours while I contemplate a panic-bid to a wide-body commute?
Wow. That's a big jump, I'd go straight from not flying at all on rsv to holding a line if my calculations are correct...interesting. Wonder what surprises November will hold.
Yeah, Houston is waaaaay better than Southern California. That's probably why the housing market is so strong out there in Houston. Glad you like the South. You can keep it.
QOLisgreat,
Yeah, we get it: Netjets is superior and all the passenger carriers are pathetic in comparison. Thank you for the reminder.
DTW320,
sorry for overreacting. You're right, our plans are confusing and to be honest, I didn't understand my HRA until I started actually using it...
Nobody in my newhire class elected to use that outdated plan. In fact, the benefits representative told us that it was only around for a handful of pilots throughout the entire company. It's too bad the NWA MEC is still supplying divisive information.
If this is the information your MEC is...
I'm afraid your numbers are way off on the DAL side. From APC: 3rd year DAL 88FO: $81
Now, I'm not saying that's great, but it's a far cry from what you posted. To compare any pax airline to UPS or FedEx may be fun, but it's pointless.
You don't have to accept it. Nobody put a gun to anybody's head and forced them to apply to Delta. Though, the ASA and Comair guys I know would gladly pay the extra $50 rather than spend the rest of their careers as subcontractors.
Have to disagree with you guys, he's a tool. I think he's smart enough to know that he panders to the lowest common denominator, and fortunately for him, the bottom of the barrel is jam-packed with losers seeking justification for their failed personal lives. I've listened to his show enough to...
There's your problem, your confusing making a decent living with a decent career. Thanks for proving my point. And maybe you should wait until you have been a captain for a second or two before you start making career suggestions to those with more experience. Don't worry, you can have my spot.
Wow, people like you, Dan, are the reason I can't make a career out of a decent job at SkyWest. Too bad the pilot group is made out of mostly people just like you.
I don't know if you are talking about the union vote, or the pay vote, but regardless, you'd be wrong on both. For pay vote purposes, not voting counts as not voting. They only tally the yes vs. no votes to decide the results. Not that a vote on this or any pay package at SkyWest matters a whole...
