Miniscule. Best case, you end up paying $33 in taxes to get $100 gift cards to all kinds of retailers. Buddy passes are not worth the taxes, in my opinion. Comes out to about $15 per buddy pass. The merchandise is not worth the taxes, either. Sign up and stick with the gift cards. Hope...
No, it is not what "we" all do. Far too many vote on single issues that have NOTHING to do with their economic self interest. It's rigged that way on purpose.
Don't know what days of the week you fly but EVERY FO I've flown with has been an adamant NO. Lately, I've flown with about 50/50 FAT/OSW, hardlines, blank lines, and reserve...BWI and MCO.
In a lounge today with an assistant chief hob nobbing. No sales job. He stood no chance against the unanimous no's in the room, some were very po'd. He mostly just listened. Tried to interject a few times but almost shouted down. Refreshing.
No, not true. While the NC may have given in, neither the BOD nor the pilot group have, yet. I'll vote no on any Section 1 give-backs, regardless of pay-rates/bonuses.
A weak business tycoon with his Daddy's money who doesn't care or even understand what he says and a Canadian/Texan who doesn't believe a word that he says but says it to please the religious right? These are the choices?
Everybody benefits from the program except those who fly their line and NEVER trade or Elitt. LC's are the grease that gets trips moving back and forth, eventually improving everybody's line (with the possible exception of reserves).
Tri, taking the LC program down to 9 CA days per lance was a...
Retro should matter to EVERY one of us. The retro check each of us gets means little compared to the precedent it will set if we accept a contract WITHOUT retro.
Think bigger picture, here.
You don't have to do one trade and then another really quick. You can select multiple trips and trade simultaneously. Trade your 3 day and 4 day for a 4 day and a 3 day. Just use the ctrl key to select multiple trips. That's how you turn two trips into one if net zero is high enough.
So HD gave you the low down on TTGA. Elitt is another animal for dropping a trip. You need the "net zero" to be positive to trade down what you have. If net zero is 3, you can trade two of your 3 day trips for one 3 day trip...and then trade back to one of your original trips if you want it...
You're incorrect on this point. Just in recent memory, Southwest flew multiple relief flight to Cabo for Odile, New York/Newark for Sandy, and New Orleans for Katrina.
Southwest has made mistakes by pulling out a bit early in anticipation of weather but has also been the last to leave...
Southwest Airlines will again be opening our Pilot Hiring window March 5th and remain open for approximately two weeks. To express interest in Southwest Pilot positions, please go to www.southwest.com/careers. Once there, click ?View All Job Postings? and express interest in the open pilot...
Practice them when you get to the training center with your sim partner. Lots of cockpit setups with switches and pictures of panels and plenty of time before sims start. Just be familiar when you show up and do the heavy learning while you're there.
Welcome aboard!
