Park Ranger Pilot question
Must all Park Ranger pilots have a commercial pilot certificate to fly aircraft as part of their job? This is a question some friends of mine and I are trying to figure out as we know of a park ranger that is flying with just a Private. That doesn't seem right but... Eagle Hiring
The "low timers" are coming in from ATP with times like 600TT/450ME. Your times meet the mins, so you shouldn't have been rejected. Just try again. Even if your stay is short once hired, that 121 time will be a great resume filler to get you to the next best thing.- Av8trxx

Yes, that would be an interesting to know. I heard that of 2 or 3 others in the same group that meet normal mins, one washed out of the DHC-8 program. Then again I have read/heard over & over again how any 'monkey can be taught to fly an RJ' on these boards (and elsewhere) and that RJs are so... -

Yes they do. I know someone who is about to start IOE with <400TT. Only 2 or 3 of those in class with them were not were not PACE grads. Mesa must be making a killing off that program. -

Upgrades? It'll be forever (5-6 years?) 12 month seat lock for equipment, but you can switch bases even while in training if you can bid it and hold it. It happens often. Cost of tuition to have a career as a pilot question
As a new hire pilot you will be lucky to do that in this day & age. Take the advice about getting your ratings first and then make career decisions. Do not quit your day job & jump into the deep end of flying without getting your feet wet first!!! You just may drown...in bills if you don't... -
