Yep, another EFB thread, but what I'm seeing this is quite the improvement. I'm wondering if anyone out there is using the iPad as a paper replacement and your pros and cons. I'll be getting hands-on tomorrow with one that has Foreflight installed. $75/year for for all IFR charts and then some...
Just saw Aero Weather for iPhone/Touch and figured there has to be something as good out there for my BB Storm. All I can find for the Blackberry is AirWX and WXSYS. WXSYS is awesome but I'm not going to pay $13/month. Any ideas? Feel free to list off all the good ones for each smartphone maker.
Since it seems I've only read threads about how bad some FBO's are, I'll throw a kudos to the crew at Jet Source. From talking to Scott it was obvious he knows how to get things done. The whole crew is very attentive, timely, upbeat, and gets it right. Great place to go to.
What does it take for someone who was Airframe certified in the military to get the civilian equivalent? Is it simply a sign off by the FSDO? How about getting the Powerplant portion? Thanks in advance.
Looking for a needle in a haystack here....I'm trying to find any websites pertaining to naval aviation squadrons from WWII. Trying to find information on my wife's grandfather. He's since passed away and nobody really knows anything of his story. I know there are websites/forums dedicated to...
Congress bashes corporate flying and then speaker Pelosi...
spends MY money doing the same damn thing
This woman enrages me like no other. Because of this scarecrow we need term limits in Congress. Well of course there are more, but I'm aiming for the head.

Just wondering if any of you pull a part-time job or know of any good ones with a flexible schedule. I've considered instructing but I'm not so sure about that. Medical transcription might be an option. Another one I'd heard of was a home inspector, but considering today's market that's probably...
I'd heard rumor that Canada doesn't recognize the single pilot exemption for aircraft such as the CE-500 series, even under Part 91. I can't seem to find anything to validate that. Thanks
I'd like to hear some of the experiences of guys/gals that have gone from corporate to a fractional. Reasons for leaving, ease of transition, spouse's adjustment, QOL difference, etc. Thanks in advance.
There used to be a website, http://www.jagusaf.hq.af.mil/Brochures/AFFRM24.pdf, that had an autofill PDF version of AF Form 24. Does anyone know of a new link or another site? I don't have form flow and I'd prefer to stick with the PDF format.
Just looking for my best chances. I know the Fargo, ND unit will not consider non-prior. Any others out there like that? Any that like new guys? How about AFRES? Thanks.
Gunsight video
For those of you who haven't been over to Baseops.net...A must see of what is said to be an Apache gunsight video from Iraq.

Is it possible to take the FC1 as a civilian, or better yet, without formally getting selected to fill a pilot position? If so, how? Just trying to give the unit one less thing to worry about.
The 148th will be having a tour/briefing the day before the interview and also a "social". I was wondering if any of you have experience with these socials, or better yet, with the 148th. Thanks
