What will Republic do with their big C-Series CS300 Order?

No one is talking about a Strike and there is no way Delta could replace the capacity. A 25%reduction in passenger traffic would put you in the poor house faster than you could transition to the 717. That's not going to happen. Arrangements will be made and when they are, you will be on here...

What will Republic do with their big C-Series CS300 Order?

What percentage of Delta pax connect on a SKYW flight every day? Twenty? Twenty five? Comair"s strike cost Delta $1 BILLION per month and that was only KCVG. The loss of SKYW feed would put Delta in BK in a month. 'Mr. Anderson, we find the terms you offer unacceptable. We are...

What's Going On at SkyWest Inc

This. It is the only way to increase revenue.

What's Going On at SkyWest Inc

Transitioning to the new business model. Fee for departure is done.

    Alaska-horizon air

You don't want to commute to Horizon. Horizon is best for people who want to live in the Northwest.

    Fixed that for you.

Yeah, and two thirds of it goes to his ex wife in child support and alimony. I fly six hour duty days and am home every night. Please, get the walk around done before you get comfortable up front. I really do hate it when you find a problem after we are all boarded. Bye bye!!!

I did $130 last year on 14th year pay, 975 block. You have to work to make money. High paying locals on the 900 or stand ups. I know a guy in Chicago who credits 160/ mo. doing stand ups, at least he did before 117. Sim instructors doing doubles do pretty well.

Looking forward to the day that you are pulling gear for me in my shiny new 150 seat RJ after Delta folds. You can tell me all about how you were downgraded to the night shift at the refinery before you were finally let go and how you had just finished your Captain IOE on the 717 and your only...

At the first sign of a real pilot shortage mandatory retirement will go away completely. Pass your medical and your PC and keep on flying. Then the Bernanke bubble busts and all the legacies file Ch. 11 again. Then an asteroid hits or a solar storm knocks out global electrical grids and the...

    Skywest/ExpressJet plan

Thank you. That is a very concise answer.

    Skywest/ExpressJet plan

Could you please explain what you mean by this. I don't see how the pilot group has any practical control over this.

    Skywest/ExpressJet plan

The same section of the 10Q shows that SkyWest has operating revenues of 1,479,708 compared to SkyEasts 1,235,877, yet the majority of the flying is done by SkyEast. The at risk flying is the key difference. It also represents the future of the regional industry. The capacity purchase...

    Alaska/Delta? Probably not

Or maybe Delta will do the bleeding. People in the Northwest love the home team.

Alternate ways to gain experience for the major airlines

Like! But, as a pilot you should be able to get at least five or six years out of a pair of underwear. My advice is to buy an RV. That way you can save on rent and crash pads.

    TA vote predictions

Brad would never offer a contract that could garner 65% support. That would be giving away the store. 50.1% yes, if it passes.

    SKYW - XJT earnings

That's enough cash to execute a stock buy back to stave off a hostile takeover. A majority share is probably already held by the Treasury, Jerry and a few select investors to block any attempt. Whatever may be afoot; Delta has become an intractable partner, squeezing regional feed beyond...

    SKYW - XJT earnings

Prepaids are listed on the 10Q. Prepaid aircraft rents amount to just over $335 million. It is one of the strategies to improve profitability. By prepaying you can get significant discounts on leases, insurance and MX expenses. It is accounted for in the current assets section. When added...
